Pop, explosive and punchy, the new brand stands tall among the daily numbness and routine as strong and visible as the powerful YAWPISTI’s activities, words and thoughts.
Logo and brand comms are based on GT America by Grilli Type, using all the variation from compressed to extended, from ultra light to black. GT America Mono is used for information copy such as date, venue and other short to mid-lenght texts.
Below the first re-branded posters for the summer edition of YAWPISTI's poetry slam, held in Montalbano Jonico (a small village in the province of Matera, Basilicata) August 11th, 2018.
Notice the pattern on the background: it's a playful way to recall Montalbano Jonico's coat of arms, composed by a traditional blue blazon with a black horse on a three-peaks hill. You can spot the hills, the horseshoe and of course the summer too: the sun and the waves of the near seaside.
